Chic Living

The first thing to do is to eliminate the things that are not necessary. It is better to have a wide and clean place to live in than a crowded one. Try to start in your clothes. Choose the clothes you are not longer wearing. Put these on a garage sale or a rummage sale (this would be an extra income for you). Your old bags, shoes, and accessories can be of help to other people who cannot afford a new one. Donate the books, handouts, and notes that you’re not using any longer. Aside from saving space, you can also earn money. How good isn’t it?

Vacation Home Care

Information, Luxury Houses, Space No Comments

Having a luxurious vacation home in some far away beach offers a peaceful getaway for those boring holidays, which is around a couple of weeks the most a year. Considering this, most property owners opt to rent out their properties to vacationers who use them off season when the owners don’t have plans. Renting out is a good idea but it also adds to the amount of maintenance needed for the said property as they are used over and over again. Proper maintenance is key to keeping the property working and pleasing to you and your prospective renters.
Having strictly private areas in the home is a good idea such as a corner where the family stays and sleeps. Kitchens and dens may be used casually but secured against theft. You should also have a properly prepared contract that should be mandatory to cover all the bases so to speak.

Luxurious condos are also on the rise. While the ownership of these are centered more around a buyer looking for a quality lifestyle, extravagant amenities, and great locations, there are many that are willing to pay the price. In Florida last year, a 4,800 square foot condominium was sold for $4.65 million dollars. In 2005, California experienced a 90% jump in condominiums priced over one million. There were 1,677 condo sales, all in the one million dollar price range. Many of these luxury condominiums are located in areas of wealth and many have top-notch views. Amenities in such luxury condos may include quality furnishings, such as appliances, granite counter tops, and window treatments. Many luxury condo buyers like the fact that the properties are secure and feel their items of wealth are protected in this type of environment and they don’t have to pay the added cost of security. Condo hotel developments are on the rise in larger cities, as well. This type of luxury living affords one the opportunity of living in their own condominium with all the amenities of hotel living, such as room service, maid service, and concierge service. Research shows the average condo hotel buyer to be between the ages of 35 and 50 years old and many simply are purchasing them as both an investment property and vacation property.

Think Forward

As much as it is tempting to do so, do not give in to the urge to make-over your place with latest trend’s lay-out. The process I assure you, is painstakingly difficult and would consume so much time that if you undergo it incorporating the latest pop art design, you might more likely than not, regret it in the long run as revamping an out-of-style look will take as much effort as making it, if not more. Remodeling one’s home is an investment, so make sure you don’t commit to a wild and too pop like designs just for the sake of jumping into the bandwagon.

Make it Chic (part 2)

In the futuristic sense of apartment designs, metallic furniture and equipment are most popular. These provide a clean, sassy and elegant aesthetics to your futuristic theme. This theme is most commonly used in modern condominiums and bachelor’s pads.

One area of the apartment that can really benefit from the aesthetics of a futuristic/metallic theme is the kitchen area. Gone are the days where white is the common design for kitchens. Since this is the area where all food preparation and storage is done, this is prone to dirt, stains and mess. Metallic themes can make this dilemma hardly evident.

In the reality series top design, one of the most common features in making chic apartments is the maximization of the space available like majority of Carisa’s designs. One way to maximize this space is by using big (and I mean big) cabinets. They can hold a large number of things in the least amount of space available.

But some would say that the use of cabinets is already out of fashion. Then you can opt to use shelves and frames. These nowadays are both functional and trendy. And lastly, it serves its main purpose of maximizing your space.

Garden:A luxury?

Outdoor, Space No Comments

Too often we hear arguments that a garden is only a luxury that people can do without so long as they have a roof over their heads. But, most people believed that a house can only be a home if it has a garden. Even a small garden can make a home much richer, a sanctuary for the creative mind to bear fruit and as a retreat for a tired soul. A garden is essential to a home because it brings us back to mother nature, showing us that there is an order to things, that we are part of that order, and that in it, it is indeed possible to carve our very own special place; living intimately with nature, the mother of us all.

With catch phrases such as “paradise in the city” and “resort living”, the Bay Garden Mactan Tower, Federal land’s condominium development in Metropolitan Park along Roxas Boulevard is one instance of what might be called the “green development” trend. Not only are its outdoor spaces landscaped, but its units were also thought out as extensions of the paradisaical theme. Its three bedroom Unit K makes a contemporary resort ambiance, the color scheme used were eggshell white for the walls and earth toned teak parquet and accessories made of natural materials, suggesting a calm union with nature. Upon entry, one takes in the flowing space from the foyer to the dining and living areas and to a view of Manila Bay beyond.
